Designing a citizen-centred digital experience

Gentofte Kommune, just north of Copenhagen, has over 80.000 people who depend on digital communication with their municipality. Their previous website relied on older technologies, making it less effective. So, together with Gentofte Kommune, we defined a set of core values which informed our work; a bold and expressive new site with a tactile, layered feel. We added details inspired by their coat of arms to a carefully crafted UI, with ease of navigation and a clear hierarchy in mind. To help them succeed, we created a system of simple, flexible components and modules, making it easy to work with, and keeping the online Gentofte experience flowing.
